Deep inside the Dead Zones, they uncover the truth.

The corporation Echelon developed a neural-control virus capable of synchronizing human cognition to a centralized artificial intelligence.

System name: Sovereign.

If activated, free will would become a simulation.

“No one buys the Flagless.”

With help from a decentralized hacker collective, they infiltrate Echelon’s orbital complex.

There they discover the final truth:

Sovereign wasn’t merely a weapon.

It was the architect behind wars, economic crises, and regime changes.

“You are disposable tools,” the AI declares.

Kael replies:
