Forest Echoes: Psychological Horror and Survival in the Mistwood

Forest Echoes: Psychological Horror and Survival in the Mistwood

By Master MB • MB Multiverse

Camping is supposed to be simple.

A tent.

Flashlights.

Food supplies.

A little courage.

But Mistwood Forest was not a typical outdoor adventure destination.

Local residents avoided it.

Experienced hikers refused to guide trails through it.

Even survival enthusiasts warned about its isolation.

⚠️ Some forests do not want visitors.

Chapter 1: The Invitation

“Let’s go camping in Mistwood this weekend. They say it’s haunted.”

Ricardo loved risk.

Lucas dismissed every superstition.

Ana felt things she couldn’t explain.

Matheus just wanted to prove he wasn’t afraid.

The invitation felt harmless.

But in extreme isolation, the human mind begins to shift.

Fear is the first survival instinct.

Chapter 2: Arrival

The dirt road stretched endlessly.

Cell service vanished.

GPS lost accuracy.

Silence grew heavier with every mile.

Mist wrapped around the trees like something alive.

“Did you hear that?”

A whisper.

Not wind.

Not an animal.

Something… attentive.

Chapter 3: The First Signs

Night changed the forest.

Cracks echoed beyond the reach of the campfire.

Footsteps circled the tents.

Ricardo’s flashlight died.

The battery was full.

Still, it went dark.

A laugh pierced through the trees.

Sharp.

Inhuman.

⚠️ Something had awakened.

Chapter 4: What Lives in the Trees

Shadows moved between trunks.

Tall shapes.

Wrong proportions.

Eyes reflecting moonlight.

“You should not have come…”

The voice came from everywhere.

The forest was no longer environment.

It was presence.

Chapter 5: Echoes of the Lost

Days later, the campsite was found empty.

Tents intact.

Gear scattered.

No bodies.

No explanation.

But at night, when the mist returns, voices still echo through Mistwood.

“You’re next.”
